Green Hills Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Millbrae, California.
Green Hills features a classic championship 18 hole golf course, designed by master architect Dr. Alister MacKenzie. The club also boasts a state of the art practice facility and junior golf program.
Dr. Alister MacKenzie designed Green Hills (known then as the Union League Club of San Francisco). The course first opened for play in 1930.
A man of many accomplishments, during his lifetime MacKenzie graduated from medical school at Cambridge, practiced medicine as a civil surgeon and became the head of the British Camouflage Service in WWI.
Beginning in 1920 when golf enjoyed a tremendous surge in popularity, MacKenzie designed over 100 golf courses - three of such high caliber they are ranked in the world's top twenty - Cypress Point (Pebble Beach CA), Royal Melbourne (Melbourne, Australia), and Augusta National (Augusta GA), site of the Masters . In California he also designed Pasatiempo (Santa Cruz), The Valley Club (Montecito) and the Meadow Club (Fairfax).
Each MacKenzie layout is memorable for one reason or another. His greatest strength was in utilizing the natural beauty of the land and surroundings he was working with to produce courses that were fun to play for amateurs and professionals alike.
Green Hills plays to 6,328 yards from the back tees. Par for the course is 71. The course rating is 71.5 and the slope rating is 139.

A wonderful Dr. MacKenzie gem. Great course featuring awesome greens, varied elevations and awesome views. A tough scoring course that will challenge any level of player. Super clubhouse facilities and a great team working there.
